Typological and stylistical study of the exotic (Nubian and from the Red Sea regions) ceramics discovered at Mersa/Wadi Gawasis, the site of the Middle Kingdom harbour on the Red Sea, in the 2001-2006 field seasons. Diachronic and synchronic distribution of the finds give insights into the functional organization of the harbour and into the changes in the Red Sea regions involved in the Pharaonic trade.
