The Ethiopian manuscript Pistoia, Biblioteca Forteguerriana, Martini etiop. no. 1 contains a loose sheet transmitting two historical notes in Gə‘əz. The first is a chronology of the events oc-curred in Ethiopia from the introduction of Christianity to the accession of Yǝkunno Amlak (1270), followed by a ‘genealogy’ of the Solomonid kings. The second is a short list of the ab-bots of Däbrä Libanos, from the beginning of 17th c. to the end of the 19th c. Both texts were first studied by Carlo Conti Rossini, but they remained hitherto unedited. Here they are fully publi-shed, translated and commented.

The second is a short list of the ab-bots of Däbrä Libanos, from the beginning of 17th c. to the end of the 19th c.
