Abstract

During a successful campaign of underwater surveys in the eastern part of the Gulf of Antalya, in southern Turkey, three funerary steles were found, not far from the modern breakwater of the port of Side. The epigraphic analysis of the inscriptions allows us to insert these slabs in a series of types very well-known for this region in the Hellenistic time, and allows us to read interesting anthroponyms in the typical forms of the dialect of ancient Pamphylia.
