DE BLASI M (2016). Tra romanzo e novella. Coincidenze tra X ed Eros . ANNALI DELLA FONDAZIONE VERGA, vol. 7, p. 61-70 , ISSN: 2038-2243

The short story x and the novel eros share several traits, such as Verga’s reflections on the causes and effects of love, very present themes in the writer’s youth research. The proximity between the two texts makes us think that the two drafts have been designed in close moments. This paper intends to exemplify the issue and to offer an interpretive hypothesis, through the recognition of the connections between the two texts.

la novella X e il romanzo Eros presentano una serie di punti in comune, come le riflessioni di Verga sulla fisiologia, sulle modalità, sulle cause e sugli effetti dell’amore, temi molto presenti nelle ricerche giovanili dello scrittore. le vicinanze tra i due testi hanno fatto pensare che le due stesure siano state concepite in momenti vicini; questo contributo intende, pertanto, esemplificare la questione ed offrirne un’ipotesi interpretativa, attraverso la ricognizione dei punti di contatto tra i due testi.
