Between December 2016 and January 2017 a team from the Universities of Napoli “L’Orientale” and Exeter started an ethnographic and ethnoarchaeological project on people and traditional boats of the Nile. The project is part of joint research activities in the sphere of a memorandum of understanding signed by both universities. The first stage took place in Sudan, in collaboration with the University of Khartoum.

Abstract
