The debate surrounding the existence of a Mediterranean city is very ample. Additional insights concern the research about the images and the models, but also of common and shared elements relative to the Mediterranean urban agglomeration; a crucial exercise which allows also to monitor the mutations, and the way in which our cities received, absorbed or elaborated the stimuli to which – at different time – they have been exposed to.

Abstract

The debate surrounding the existence of a Mediterranean city is very ample. However, when speaking about Mediterranean it is unavoidable to refer to its cities; in this perspective multiple approaches arise, such as different classifications, narratives, past memories and recalls to the present.
