Since 2013 the project “Ichthyophagoi their culture and economy. Landscape and people during the Iron Age in coastal Oman” is going on with archaeological excavations and field surveys related to the study of the coastal area between Qurayyat and Ras Al Jinz under the patronage of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture (Sultanate of Oman), the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Università degli Studi di Napoli “L’Orientale”. The activities focused on the coastal settlements of Bamah (BMH2) and Ras Al Had (HD21), by the definition of the socio-economic strategies of coastal people.

Abstract

Since 2013 the project “Ichthyophagoi their culture and economy.
