This introduction synthesizes the aims of the volume that attempts to unveil and strengthen the link between affective neuroscience and English language education. The intent was to identify and propose a novel, theory-based educational paradigms so as to facilitate second-language (L2) educators and learners’ endeavors. The focus was also on identifying innovative and empathic modalities that would ignite a contact with the contemporary digital generation of L2 learners of English as a second (ESL) or foreign language (EFL) and maintain it.
