The paper offers an overview of the distinctive scripts used by humanists for transcription of Greek passages within the Latin works. It examines numerous Latin manuscripts with Greek inserts and analyzes the various Greek handwritings to which the humanists resorted during the fifteenth century in order to adequately render the Greek majuscule letters handed down in Western medieval books.
