Following the 2016 New York Declaration for Refugees and Migrants, on 10 December 2018, at an Intergovernmental Conference in Marrakech, the majority of UN Member States adopted the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration, a non-binding document covering most aspects of international migration. After investigating its content and genesis, this contribution explores some crucial issues concerning migrants’ human rights in the context of the Migration Compact.
