This study focuses on two main questions: would political communication on Twitter be a “entre-deux”? Would it be brachylogical? To answer to these questions, this analysis, based on a corpus of tweets produced by Marine Le Pen’s account during the 2017 presidential elections, identifies some linguistic and discursive characteristics of political communication on Twitter.

Ouvert au public il y a douze ans, Twitter est aujourd’hui un espace inter-discursif et dialogique énorme, dont le potentiel médiatique a été rapidement compris par la politique, qui l’a intégré à ses stratégies de communication, en reconnaissant cette plateforme comme un amplificateur considérable, où il faut néanmoins respecter de nouvelles normes discursives et inter-discursives, des formules conversationnelles se caractérisant par l’implicite et l’inférence culturelle voie interculturelle. Cette étude s’interroge sur deux questions principales : la communication politique sur Twitter serait-elle un entre-deux ? Et encore, serait-elle brachylogique ? Pour répondre à ces questions, en s’appuiant sur un corpus de tweets produits par le compte de Marine Le Pen au cours des élections présidentielles 2017, l’analyse permet de déceler certaines caractéristiques linguistiques et discursives de la communication politique sur Twitter.
