On the 16th and 17th of October 2019 two days of Eritrean and Ethiopian Studies in memory of Carlo Conti Rossini (1872–1949) were held in the Department Asia, Africa e Mediterraneo of the University of Napoli “L’Orientale”. The purpose was to draw the attention of the scientific community to the founding figure of Rassegna di Studi Etiopici and at the same time, give the measure of progress recorded in the field of Ethiopian studies during the recent decades.
