This article provides a detailed description of the contents of the five volumes of the new edition of Constantine VII Porphyrogenitus’ De cerimoniis in the CFHB series. It highlights this new edition’s extraordinary scientific value and considerable improvement in comparison with the previous reference edition. Nevertheless, some of the editors’ textual choices are questioned, and a few readings diverging from those adopted in the edition are proposed
