The present paper aims to show the views of sin according to some Ismaʻili works that I have analysed in my previous researches and that belong to the Qarmatian and Fatimid-Tayyibi traditions. The study will show that according to the Ismaʻili doctrine the problem of sin, which mainly concerns disobedience to God, also included any human act of rebellion against God’s Will, such as not recognising the centrality of the imam’s function and the institution of the imamate.

Abstract
The present paper aims to show the views of sin according to some Ismaʻili works that I have analysed in my previous researches and that belong to the Qarmatian and Fatimid-Tayyibi traditions. The study will show that according to the Ismaʻili doctrine the problem of sin, which mainly concerns disobedience to God, also included any human act of rebellion against God’s Will, such as not recognising the centrality of the imam’s function and the institution of the imamate.File in questo prodotto:
