Agazio Fraietta (Monasterace 1959 - Rome 2021) was a passionate scholar of Judaism in southern Italy and especially of the Calabrian Jews. On the anniversary of his passing, the monographic section of the decennial volume of Sefer yuḥasin is entirely dedicated to him and to Jewish Calabria. In this brief memorial essay, the opportunity is taken to pay fitting tribute to his blog Calabria Judaica and to retrace, at the same time, the neglected history of the studies on Jews and Judaism in ancient and medieval Calabria.
