Friedrich Nietzsche tra Martin Heidegger e Thomas Mann

Il paper prende lo spunto dal ruolo diverso, ma in qualche modo comparabile, che il pensiero di Nietzsche ha rappresentato nell'opera di Thomas Mann e Martin Heidegger. In particolare, vengono presi in esame le Considerazioni di un impolitico di Thomas Mann e Il nichilismo europeo di Martin Heidegger, testi nei quali il pensiero di Nietzsche è centrale e diviene una sorta di interlocuzione costante. La profondità dei problemi sui quali Nietzsche interroga Mann e Heidegger consente, secondo l'Autore, di comparare il pensiero di due tra le maggiori personalità intellettuali del Novecento. The paper takes inspiration from the different, albeit somehow similar, role that Nietzsche’s thought has played in the works of Thomas Mann and Martin Heidegger. In particular, the paper examines Thomas Mann’s Reflections of an Unpolitical Man and Martin Heidegger’s European Nihilism. In these works, Nietzsche’s influence is of central importance and becomes a sort of constant interlocutor. In the Author’s opinion, the profundity of the issues on which Nietzsche questions both Mann and Heidegger allows us to compare the thought of two among the most influential thinkers of the twentieth century.
