Sha Yexin: Ein Mann mit Gewissen: Hu Yaobang

This contribution provides a German translation of the 10th and last scene of Liangxin Hu Yaobang (A Man of Consciousness, 2015), the last play of Sha Yexin. This dramatic text is a biographical play about the famous reform politician Hu Yaobang. The last act features a dramatic interpretation of Hu Yaobang's forced resignation from his position as CCP General secretary in 1987. In order to contextualize this scene, the contribution also provides a list of the dramatis personae, a summary of the whole play as well as notes on the historical events represented in the play.
