The article examines the patterns of the use of the Scripture in the Third Gospel, and tries to to establish the accuracy and source of Luke’s biblical quotations, especially in light of the fluidity of the LXX text in the first centuries. A particular attention is given to the quotations from the Pentateuch, which are often conflated citations and aim to underline Jesus’ adherence to the Law.
