El ensayo se propone aplicar los conceptos de frontera e identidad fronteriza a una novela del escritor catalán Rafael Argullol, Transeuropa (1998). Este texto describe las diferentes etapas de un viaje, real e ideal a la vez, individual y colectivo al mismo tiempo, que se configura como un espacio metafórico y discursivo en el que las identidades étnicas y culturales cuestionan las visiones heredadas y se abren a nuevas perspectivas.
