The written page is a place of exploration and growth of personality, witness of life experiences. A close relationship with narration as well as with stories and their ultimate goal cannot be ignored in these difficult, swiftly passing by years we are experiencing. This essay, starting from a premise on the complex relationships between culture and new media, highlights the need to identify strategies aiming at re-evaluating the role of Reading in the development of personality structure in young people as well as in adults. This in the hope that contemporary society will be able to recover a deep, mature and better conscious relationship wi th the wr i t ten text , thus avoiding a communicative homologation, getting more and more distant from the concept of culture as nourishment. In this regard, reading is considered as a central training activity, and interdisciplinary perspectives between written texts and other forms of expression - such as the illustration - capable of enriching and further enhancing the educational spectrum, are analyzed.
La pagina scritta si rivela luogo di esplorazione e crescita della personalità, del vissuto, dell'esperienza. Non si può prescindere, nei tempi difficili e veloci che percorriamo, da un rapporto con la narrazione, con le storie, col senso del racconto. Il saggio, partendo da una premessa relativa ai complessi rapporti tra cultura e nuovi media, mette in evidenza la necessità di individuare strategie tendenti a rivalutare il ruolo della lettura nel percorso strutturante la personalità di giovani e adulti, nell'auspicio di una società contemporanea capace di recuperare un rapporto profondo, consapevole e maturo con il testo scritto, e di evitare una omologazione comunicativa che si distanzia sempre più dalla cultura intesa come nutrimento. A tal proposito la lettura viene inquadrata come attività formativa centrale, e vengono analizzate prospettive di natura interdisciplinare tra testo scritto ed altre forme di espressione - come l'illustrazione - capaci di arricchirne ed avvalorarne ulteriormente lo spettro educativo.
