Abstract

If during the years of Officina Pasolini was involved in promoting an ideological realism, later, thanks to Contini and Gramsci, he pursued a sacralization of the popular body. Somewhere in the middle appeared the Divina Mimesis. Analysing the continuity and discontinuity between the rewriting of Dante and other narrative works by Pasolini, this essay shows the distance dividing the original project from the book published in 1975.
