This contribution sets out to present part of the DEFI "Mediterranean Ports" project, the aim of which is to analyse the "waterfront" domain from a conceptual, linguistic and cultural point of view in order to create a terminological glossary of this domain in fifteen languages. The first steps in the terminological analysis are described, concerning the constitution of the corpus of work, extraction and terminological mining, followed by an examination of the work involved in compiling the terminological records in French. For each record in the glossary, particular attention is paid to the definition and context of use, enabling a detailed analysis of each term and its conceptual scope. Finally, the next stages of the project are proposed, which consist of extending the research to the other languages involved and putting the glossary into electronic form, which will be available in free online access. It will constitute an important tool for understanding the waterfront from a linguistic point of view, a composite, even hybrid, field that represents the most current evolution of the port, where the notion of the 'liquid city' is embodied.

Abstract
It will constitute an important tool for understanding the waterfront from a linguistic point of view, a composite, even hybrid, field that represents the most current evolution of the port, where the notion of the 'liquid city' is embodied.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
