The article introduces the monograph on the Public History Laboratories active in Ca’ Foscari, Genoa, Cagliari, Rome Tor Vergata, Florence and Salento Universities. The Laboratories develop after the birth in 2017 of the Italian Public History Association, which promotes through National Conferences and the activity of different working groups an in-depth confrontation on the university teaching of Public History and the training of public historians. The University Laboratories of Public History lend themselves to be a sensitive and effective litmus test of what is being discussed in the field of Public History and the developments of Digital Humanities, an experience of innovative teaching practices, exchanges between universities and communities, in a learning path that takes students and students out of the university lecture halls, into the territory intended as a space for the discovery or rediscovery of sources, narratives and memories.

Abstract
The article introduces the monograph on the Public History Laboratories active in Ca’ Foscari, Genoa, Cagliari, Rome Tor Vergata, Florence and Salento Universities. The Laboratories develop after the birth in 2017 of the Italian Public History Association, which promotes through National Conferences and the activity of different working groups an in-depth confrontation on the university teaching of Public History and the training of public historians. The University Laboratories of Public History lend themselves to be a sensitive and effective litmus test of what is being discussed in the field of Public History and the developments of Digital Humanities, an experience of innovative teaching practices, exchanges between universities and communities, in a learning path that takes students and students out of the university lecture halls, into the territory intended as a space for the discovery or rediscovery of sources, narratives and memories.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
