Denaturalizing the climate emergency is not only the task of environmental ethics, but of ethics as a whole; in fact, it implies the need to extend reflection on the relationship between human and nature to that of the relationship of domination over the Other. In this brief text an attempt will be made to investigate a specific aspect of this process of naturalization, that which concerns the implication between environmental crisis, the profiting and exploitation of difference (ethnic, sexual, etc.) and symbolic devaluation.

Abstract

Denaturalizing the climate emergency is not only the task of environmental ethics, but of ethics as a whole; in fact, it implies the need to extend reflection on the relationship between human and nature to that of the relationship of domination over the Other. In this brief text an attempt will be made to investigate a specific aspect of this process of naturalization, that which concerns the implication between environmental crisis, the profiting and exploitation of difference (ethnic, sexual, etc.) and symbolic devaluation.
