Exhibiting is the main activity that aims to display and curate a work of art and a collection or exhibition. Historically, this has become an integral part of a discipline concerned with exhibiting as a spatial arrangement, namely exhibit design. Enumerated theoretically, the exhibiting gesture is recognized as a voluntary act aimed at organizing the space of the work or the work itself, of which the spheres of operation are among the most varied: museums, galleries, and places in the city. In this regard, such volition is assumed to be intentional. Likewise, especially in urban contexts and public spaces, the intentional exhibition gesture can also reveal itself as unintentional. In this contribution, I will try to illustrate the category of the unintentional display gesture through the aesthetic experience of walking, some examples of artification, and the concepts of relationship and participation, that is, through activities by which the city itself becomes an unintentional display.

Abstract
In this contribution, I will try to illustrate the category of the unintentional display gesture through the aesthetic experience of walking, some examples of artification, and the concepts of relationship and participation, that is, through activities by which the city itself becomes an unintentional display.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
