The catalogue presents the entries of a recent donation to the Museo Orientale U. Scerrato of the University of Naples L’Orientale. The collection consists of 108 Islamic magic bowls made of metal (with only two porcelain examples), produced across a wide geographical area stretching from Near East to East Asia, starting from the 12th century. It represents one of the most significant collection worldwide, both in terms of quantity and quality
