This paper examines a small terracotta head from the Santa Maria degli Angeli dump associated with the settlement of Parthenope (Naples). It proposes a date of 580–560 BC and discusses its possible function and iconographic identification. The head provides evidence for the emergence of sacred spaces in the settlement of Parthenope.
Il contributo analizza una testina in terracotta proveniente dallo scarico di Santa Maria degli Angeli rela'tivo all'insediamento di Parthenope (Napoli). Propone una datazione al 580-560 a.C., ne discute la possibile funzione e identificazione iconografica. La testina rappresenta una testimonianza dell'emergenza degli spazi sacri nell'insediamento di Parthenope.
