The article addresses the problem of Orientierung, of its images and figures, from a morphological point of view, in the transition from the impression to the expression, form the Himmelsbild, the original opposition between the light and the darkness (Usener), to the intuitive-objective configuration of the mythical space and the perceptive space (Cassirer). The symbolic function does not assume the hyletic datum of the impression in order to give it, from outside, a consciential form. The impression is already-always permeated with expression, apperceptive acts, accents and experience.
