Abstract

Recent teaching philosophies suggest that learners need to be involved in communicative acts which should be meaningful, interesting and appropriate to the learners’ age and learning level. This view has given birth to many valid course books that advocate communicative interaction through the use of role-plays and simulations. The present article offers practical advice related to their use with children and proposes several innovative ideas which are drama-oriented.
