The paper provides a preliminary (and limited to the Liberal period) set of data emerged from a recent field research in Eritrea, about the school of Arts and crafts in Segeneiti, the most important Eritrean missionary school for Africans during the Italian colonial period, whose history up to now has remained approximate. The data presented allow to know more closely the aims, the students enrollment and, first of all, the level and teaching methods implemented in the school.
