The author in this short article included in a volume published for an exhibition held in 2007 at Trento entitled Ori dei cavalieri delle Steppe, Collezione dei Musei dell’Ucraina, and dealing with the golden objects of the nomadic huntsmen of the steppes, coming from the Ukrainian Museums, deals with the Iranian nomadic tribes as documented by the ancient sources. Starting from that documentation the article is also dealing with the traces of the related archaeological documentation.
