The article revisits at a distance of thirty years, the most important archaeological discovery made by the Italian Archeological Mission in the 60s of the last century in the Iranian Sistan of historical period. Among these sites of different periods, particularly important is that of the Achaemenid age named Dahan-i Ghulaman, for which is proposed a new reading as the only settlement of the period in the Iranian plateau.
