The study focuses on one poem from the Man’yōshū, the anonymous waka 1409 in the seventh maki. By revisiting the waka the author suggests a more coherent exegesis of the verb uraburu – at least in the Man’yō era, since the verb is rarely attested in later poetry – and attempts a clarification, never done before, of its usage and meaning.

Abstract
The study focuses on one poem from the Man’yōshū, the anonymous waka 1409 in the seventh maki. By revisiting the waka the author suggests a more coherent exegesis of the verb uraburu – at least in the Man’yō era, since the verb is rarely attested in later poetry – and attempts a clarification, never done before, of its usage and meaning.File in questo prodotto:
