Il testo si propone di indagare le tracce della volpe, personaggio letterario che ha solcato pagine e sentieri di ogni tempo: dalla favola antica alla narrativa fiabesca, dagli albi illustrati ai romanzi contemporanei. Nella ricostruzione storica qui delineata l’animale antropomorfizzato arriva a testimoniare una possibile metamorfosi del mito; un felice sovvertimento di corrispondenze codificate e bloccate su una severa tradizione che, incrinandosi grazie ad autori come Saint-Exupéry, apre nuove prospettive formative ed insperati orizzonti di senso.
