Artykuł przedstawia założenia dydaktyczne masowego otwartego kursu online (MOOC) języka polskiego jako obcego na poziomie A1, opracowanego dla włoskojęzycznych odbiorców. Kurs powstał w ramach włoskiego projektu ALM@ („Advanced Learning Multimedia Alliance for Inclusive Academic Innovation”), realizowanego przez sieć 14 instytucji akademickich, do której należy m.in. Uniwersytet „L’Orientale” w Neapolu. W niniejszym tekście omówiono strukturę kursu, obejmującego 12 modułów łączących krótkie lekcje wideo, ćwiczenia interaktywne, dialogi, materiały gramatyczne, leksykalne i kulturowe oraz automatyczną informację zwrotną.

The article presents the pedagogical foundations of a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) in Polish as a foreign language at A1 level, designed for Italian-speaking learners. The course was developed as part of the Italian ALM@ project (“Advanced Learning Multimedia Alliance for Inclusive Academic Innovation”), implemented by a network of fourteen academic institutions, including the University of Naples “L’Orientale.” The article discusses the course structure, which comprises twelve modules combining short video lessons, interactive exercises, dialogues, grammar, vocabulary and cultural materials, as well as automated feedback. It analyses the methodological solutions adopted, drawing on constructivism, multimodality, learner autonomy, inclusive language and the principles of Universal Design for Learning. It also addresses specific phonetic and morphosyntactic difficulties arising from differences between Polish and Italian. The course is considered as a tool supporting face-to-face, blended and independent learning, with particular emphasis on its accessibility, flexibility and potential to promote the Polish language in Italy. At the same time, the article examines the limitations of the MOOC format, particularly reduced opportunities for interaction, difficulties in developing and assessing productive skills, and the risk of learner attrition. The analysis demonstrates the potential of MOOCs as a flexible supplement to university-level Polish language instruction and as a means of promoting Polish in Italy.
