Several years ago I had the pleasure to review for Annali (the journal of Istituto Universitario Orientale) Lexique bidiya by Khalil Alio and Herrmann Jungraithmayr. In my review (in Italian), I stressed two po ! " " Arabic and through Daju, as shown by suffix -ne/-e/-re/-le. This was new and quite strange for me. According to my researches, I have been doing for several years in the field of Arabic loans in West African languages. So I put the list of all Arabic loans in my computer, I was able to identify their Arabic etymon, and the list of loans, which the Authors marked as Arabic loans, but I failed to identify their etymon: the second list was quite huge.
